Texas cornbread

When I watched the movie Green Mile, I noticed they had cornbread, something between a cake and a bread. I had to try it because I saw everywhere regarding the south. So I google it and found there are thousands variations and it all depends on your liking.

This one is with buttermilk, and though it shouldn’t work, it works!

8-10 tbsp butter
2 cups yellow cornmeal
6 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 1/3 cups buttermilk

I used a round tin pan and brushed it with butter. Turn the oven on 240 degrees, the highest temperature and leave the pan for 10 minutes. Prepare the batter and pour it on the hot pan, bake for 25 minutes on the same temperature. Leave it to cool down and eat after roughly 10 minutes!
