French Silk Pie

IMAG0402
As always, we were having some friends over and I wanted to make something fancy and basically, french! No one can beat french when it comes to classy! Nothing can challenge you more than making from scratch the pie crust and chocolate mousse! It was a gamble! I never heard of this pie, and frankly neither had my guests! So impression factor, pretty high! I tend to understand that i like pie desserts, never really understood it before!
The base for the pie is the previous post! You will only need
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
3 large eggs, room temperature
Whipped cream
Chocolate trimmings
After baking the pie crust, leave it to cool! Proceed in a bowl and whisk the butter with the sugar. Add the vanilla and the chocolate. The chocolate must not be hot because you are going to add the eggs and you don’t want to cook the eggs! Add each egg separately, and let it blend to create the mousse effect! When the cream is ready, place it on the cool pie crust and place it on the fridge. Let it there and just before serving make whipped cream, just 250 gr of Creme fraiche with a tbsp of confined sugar! Shave some chocolate on top and you are ready!
Very good looking dessert and rich flavour!
