My baby’s breakfast v.2

My baby is probably teething again, the last 4 teeth, and we are done! He doesn’t sleep for a week now, none during the day and very little during the night! I love coffee, but as a beverage, not as a necessity. So A variation, of the previous snack/ breakfast for my baby is a whole peach (since they are in season), a banana, half cups of puffed oats, couple of dried blueberries and2 tbsp of Greek yogurt!

My baby’s breakfast

My baby doesn’t like milk. He hates milk, like each time I try to feed him, he screams bloody hell. So, After 2-3 hours of trying to drink his, I feel I have to give him something good. So, my go to snack is Greek yogurt, puffed oats, a banana and any kind of berries. Normally, I use dried ones, but this week I found fresh berries and he love them. Blackberries those is, raspberries was bit sour for his taste, so I added a bit of honey and was good then! I love love the color, it can’t be seen so clearly in this photo, but it’s so pretty.0.02.01.0673267e2e34399cb4436de6a03369a5f4846daa3400b98ead03d48da7500de2_full

A small comeback with a cake!

Banana poppy Seed Cake with Vanilla Bean Frosting

It’s been a while! My baby boy is now 10+ months old, life is returning back to normal, except sleep/ Night sleep, day sleep, all kind of sleep… But a day is full! I’ve got baking to do, for my family and mental health! Now, with daily fruit consumption by all with have a large amount of them, especially bananas! Sometimes, they turn brown due to high temperature or just because we buy them by the dozen. So, a banana cake again! But this cake was gone in less than 24 hours. The frosting was still running when my husband wanted a piece,

See?

The next morning was nicer, by still so tasty! I got the recipe from here! My only input is the frosting, mine turned out runny (my fault, more milk than necessary) and it didn’t firm enough in the fridge, so be careful!

Enjoy!

Omg, I found a cake that everybody loves! I made 3 times in the last couple of weeks and everybody loved it.
I recently discovered that chocolate and bananas are best friends in taste, silly me! In my defense I started eating bananas since last year, I always disliked them as a kid but loved the smell!
So, when i was searching vegan recipes for my brother that contained chocolate and bananas I found this recipe and was ecstatic!
My beautiful cake, is so beautiful! I can’t even describe the awesomeness I felt when everybody tasted it!
Bring it to dinner parties, for a guarantee success!

Vegan chocolate banana squares

IMAG0346
So, on Sunday my brother invited me for lunch and had no time to prepare something nice (and no time) so I googled for a recipe containing bananas and being vegan and i found this recipe, which i altered to my benefit (and according to my ingredients!!)
So, I used everything that can be found in someone’s kitchen! At least, someone’s who bakes!

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 ripe bananas, mashed
5 Tbs. vegetable oil
3/4 cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. smashed pecans

In 2 bowls, mix the dry ingredients together and then in the other bowl mix the liquid. Assemble them until the batter unifies.
I used a square pan that I lay paper on the bottom.
Bake on a 180 degree oven for 30 minutes, the mix is pretty thin and will not become fluffy (no egg or flax seeds)

Try to let it cool before cutting it to squares.
Very nice and tasty!!!
